Last Friday,TSMC said that despite the April 3 earthquake, they are not worried about their financial situation for the year.
This is good news because people were worried that the world's computer chip supplies might fail.
The company confirmed they're sticking with their original plan they discussed in January, expecting to make about 20-something percent more money this year than they did last year.
TSMC makes computer chips that everyone uses, and the strongest earthquake in nearly two decades terrified everyone.
There are other major chip-making places in Taiwan too, namely, UMC, Vanguard International Semiconductor, and Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing.
Many of their machines are undamaged, although a few manufacturing lines were rattled by the quake. Most issues have been resolved since Friday.
TSMC is also double-checking everything and will let their customers know if there are any issues they need to worry about.
